Wedding cake for a beautiful bride
This wedding cake is my first cake after a long break due to pregnancy and spending the first 3 months with my gorgeous little girl. I knew it would be difficult to make a cake while caring for a 3 month old, but I didn't quite realise how difficult!
The cake is a 3 tier sponge and the bride requested a string of edible pearls to be draped over the cake.
The cake was delivered in true new mum style - in a Huggies nappies box.
- time to make: 4 x longer than it should have
- favourite part: creating the pearl necklace
- biggest challenge: adding the detail before my baby needed me to avoid the icing setting.
